Health Testing & Breeding Standards

This is a strict requirement in Lily’s current breeding program.

All of our dogs are fully health tested prior to breeding to ensure we produce healthy, high-quality puppies. Testing includes comprehensive DNA screening through PawPrints Genetics, covering:

  • Degenerative Myelopathy (DM)

  • Exercise-Induced Collapse (EIC)

  • Hereditary Nasal Parakeratosis (HNPK)

  • Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA)

  • Cone-Rod Dystrophy 4 (CRD4)

  • Progressive Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRCD)

  • Rod-Cone Dysplasia 4 (RCD4)

  • Retinal Dysplasia

  • Von Willebrand Disease Type I

We also obtain OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) clearances for:

  • Hips

  • Elbows

  • Patellas

  • Heart

  • Eyes (OFA Eye Certification Exam)

Copies of all parent health tests are available upon request.
