Who We Are
We Love Australian Labradoodles!
We are a small, home-based breeder of small and medium-sized multigenerational Australian Labradoodles. Lily’s began after the loss of my heart dog ten years ago—a Labrador mix rescue named Toby, who was part of our family for 17 wonderful years as my children grew up. After losing him, I began researching Lab mixes and discovered Australian Labradoodles. Their sweet, obedient, and eager-to-please temperament reminded me so much of Toby.
Over the years, I dedicated myself to learning about Australian Labradoodles and responsible breeding practices. We now have two Australian Labradoodles in our family. As a retired adoption social worker with 35 years of experience placing children into loving homes, I now channel that same passion and care into placing our puppies with very special families.
At Lily’s, we take great pride in producing well-socialized, health-screened puppies. All of our breeding dogs are thoroughly health tested before being bred. Prospective adoptive families are carefully screened to ensure they can provide a loving, responsible home for our puppies. Each litter is born and raised in our home, receiving individual love and attention as cherished members of our family.
When they go to their forever homes, our puppies are not only well-loved and well-socialized but also ready to learn and grow as part of your family. We look forward to walking alongside you in your journey of welcoming this very special new family member.
The Origins of the Australian Labradoodle
The Labradoodle was originally bred in Australia during the 1980s with the goal of creating a hypoallergenic service dog by crossing a Labrador Retriever with a Standard Poodle. In the years that followed, breeders refined the breed by introducing Cocker Spaniel and Springer Spaniel genetics, enhancing the dog’s temperament, coat quality, and overall suitability as a companion. This careful development led to what is now known and loved as the Australian Labradoodle.
The breed’s history is a testament to the thoughtful combination of traits from several beloved dogs—resulting in a companion that is not only intelligent and trainable, but also affectionate and family-friendly. It’s no surprise that the Australian Labradoodle has become such a popular and cherished breed around the world.
